HR Generalist (Maternity cover) -m/f/d
OVERVIEW
PRINCIPAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Objective/ purpose:
The HR Generalist runs the day-to-day HR tasks, especially in the area of recruitment and Learning & Development (L&D) and provides HR services to FI employees and Line Managers. Liaising closely with all HR colleagues, the HR Generalist ensures that HR processes are properly followed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Independent and responsible conduction of the following tasks:
- Coordinate L&D activities, including administration of FI’s e-learning platform, updating course content and driving platform improvements; schedule and track trainings, and manage external training providers.
- Assist with the implementation of skills management in the HR system.
- Support recruitment processes (e.g. preparing job ads, screening applicants, coordinating interviews and ensuring effective and timely communication on recruitment topics).
- Support the execution of Onboarding and Offboarding processes of employees. Cooperate with other units, functions, and public authorities with regards to the onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Carry out administrative and organizational activities (e.g. working time & absence recording)
- Provide and coordinate regular and accurate HR Statistics & KPIs
- Support and substitute HR team members and undertake other tasks that are consistent with the level and responsibilities of this post.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- University qualification or commercial apprenticeship with further qualification in relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration or comparable education.
- 1-3 years of experience in recruitment and L&D
- In-depth understanding of HR functions and processes.
- Good knowledge of German labour law and social security law, tariff regulation and works constitution law.
- Very good coordination and organizational skills.
- Very good communication skills and facility in cross-cultural communication.
- Fluent English and German oral and written.
- Diplomatic and sensitive approach.
- Solution-oriented team player.
- Good command of MS Office Suite and digital competence.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reliable, diligent and service driven working attitude.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- This is a full-time position within Fairtrade International
- Location is at Fairtrade International offices in Bonn, Germany with the opportunity for hybrid work arrangements
- The office language is English.
- Salary as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Wholesale and Foreign Trade Industries for North Rhine Westphalia Group V and over tariff payments (starting at 3,814.00 Euros gross per month)
